Eulogy for 1st Lieutenant Walter Fraser

1 Lt. Fraser made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom on June 12, 1944.  He was a caring brother and son.  He was outlived by his father, Walter Fraser; mother, Laurinda Fraser; sisters, Marjorie and Jean; and brother James.  Before his enlistment, he attended the Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy. He served in the United States Armed Forces as part of the Air Force.  He was a pilot and earned several recognitions for his gallantry and heroism, including the Air Medal and Silver Star awards.  Posthumously, he was awarded the Purple Heart.  Today he rests in the Normandy American Cemetery under a cross.  His legacy of selflessness and bravery will live on.
